MISSION STATEMENT

SciMentors works with underserved adult students to foster scientific literacy and curiosity through hands-on scientific experimentation.

SciMentors brings together volunteers, comprised of students and post-doctoral associates from the University of Minnesota scientific community, to work with underserved adult students. Through the use of hands-on experiments and individual tutoring, we aim to promote scientific literacy and curiosity throughout the Twin Cities. We inspire our volunteers to enhance their communication, teaching, and curriculum-planning skills by leading experiments with a diverse demographic.

You can also become part of the SciMentors team! We do not require you to have anything but an enthusiasm to help underserved communities throughout the Twin Cities!
